Real quick-
My previous bitching about the possible creative direction that Spider-Man 4 was taking can be silenced. Sam Raimi's sequel is not happening. Raimi didn't like the script, had a disagreement with Sony, and is off the series. Sony is going in a different direction and rebooting the series, putting Peter Parker back in high school. I don't know if that's a good thing yet. Spparently it means we won't see a potential Vulture played by John Malkovich, who was in talks, but at least we don't get the shitfest that the planned sequel would have been.

How do you know all this stuff? Do you get Variety out there?
